Meet The Big Cheese, El Brujo Grande, the father to us all: Martin.

Martin has spent over 25 years doing theatre and has been the brains behind every DQ production since its very beginning, as one of the founding members (and the last remaining one) when he co-founded the DQ some 17 years ago. Throughout this time, he directed 17 plays, and over a hundred Drama Queens. -Yes, in case you’re wondering it is one play per year. Martin believes in rehearsal, training, and preparation to produce a spectacle worth remembering.

A big fan of physicality and the aesthetic of the visual, he is a director, scenographer, dramaturgist, producer, babysitter, choreographer, stagehand, carpenter, light designer, methodologist, teacher, and a primary consumer of all the food that is ever brought to rehearsal. Oh yes, and he shouts sometimes, get over it.
